MUSES: Daredevil

There are certain subjects I tend to draw over and over no matter how my art style changes... in this case, it's the Man Without Fear!

ART

For the record, I have been obsessively drawing Daredevil even before he hit Netflix.

I was also drawing him quite a bit before the Ben Afflec movie that opened on my birthday in 2003, although that film did inspire a bit of a break from the character. The only thing I really got from that movie was the fact that blind people can get their money folded in different shapes so they can tell one denomination from another. That happened like during the opening credits or something and it was all downhill from there.

Anyway, I don't even remember when it started, but here's a bunch of Daredevil fan art.

Daredevil was actually the first character I drew when I got Photoshop. I thought it was cool to be able to draw him and then do a layer of damage I could turn on and off.

Sadly, I can not find that image anywhere, and it's not from a lack of trying.

While I was wading through my digital wasteland, I did come across this image. Our dog was named DeeDee so I decided to do a parody of the Daredevil Season 2 poster and inserted me, my then-fiancé, and of course the dog, into this.

Fun fact: a canvas print of this hung in our living room for far longer than my wife would want me to tell you!

Lastly, and this should probably become it's own post one day, but I love making costumes as well. I REALLY like the ones that are easy to make, clearly, and the Daredevil S1 costume is one of my favorites.

I wore it to work on Halloween in 2018 and was pleasantly surprised to see another "street level hero" was also in the building.

Alright. That's really it this time. I think.
